CFR takes place at Rexall Place in Edmonton on:

• Wednesday, November 6 at 7 p.m.
• Thursday, November 7 at 7 p.m.
• Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m.
• Saturday, November 9 at 1 p.m.
• Saturday, November 9 at 7 p.m.
• Sunday, November 10 at 1 p.m.

With the CFR Six Pack you receive the same seats for each performance of CFR at a reduced rate. Also included are money-saving coupons, unique commemorative tickets, a Six Pack souvenir pin and more!

At CFR you see all the major pro-rodeo events at every performance. The first event is Bareback, then Steer Wrestling, Novice Events, Boys Steer Riding, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Riding.

The top 10 point earners at the end of the Canadian Professional Rodeo Associations season, and the top two qualifiers from the Canadian Rodeo Tour compete.

The ice plant is turned off, allowing the concrete slab to warm up and then the ice starts to melt. As the ice melts it is broken up and moved into a pit. Next, 500 cubic yards of dirt is brought in. The dirt is packed down to create a foundation, then a top layer of loose dirt is worked in until the ideal texture is formed.

The bullfighters, the pick-up men, and the timers are all voted on by the contestants.

Stock lists are provided by the 12 different stock contractors. The event reps then review the stock list and selects which animals should be at the finals. Each night in the rough stock events a draw is made to see which contestant rides on which animal.

The Canadian Finals Rodeo started in 1974, and was originally hosted in the Edmonton Gardens.

The number on the back of each CFR contestant signifies their order in the overall rankings.

No, pets are not permitted on the Northlands grounds.
